Hi. My name is… well, I guess it doesn’t really matter. There are other people like me; a lot of them. They all have different names but we all have something in common. I’ll get to that later. For now, just call me… Issa.
My name is Issa. I am 23 years old; just a baby in the grand scheme of things. I am no wise elder. I don’t have a plethora of knowledge to share. I am just me. But ‘me’ is pretty different from most people you meet. ‘Me’ is also similar to a lot of the people you meet. You see, Issa isn’t a name that just popped into my head. It’s an acronym. It means: Introverted, Shy, Socially Anxious. I-S-S-A, Issa. Those four words have been my life up until this point. From an early age, they have defined me in the eyes of myself and everyone around me. If I had to pick the four words that would define me for the rest of my life, I wouldn’t pick those ones. Well, I’d keep Introverted because that’s always been a part of who I am and there is nothing wrong with that. I didn’t start out with the other words though. Those joined me along the way. That’s why I plan to use this blog as an outlet of sorts. A place where I can write my thoughts and plans and share them with any other Issa’s out there who care to read them. And if you don’t exactly relate to the concept of an ISSA, perhaps this blog can give you some insight to what may or may not be going on in the minds of any Issa’s you might know.
